Candidates must hold the Assessor qualification (Conduct Outcomes-Based Assessment U/S 11575) before enrolling on this course. It is required that a Candidate have at least 3 years of experience as an Assessor (or the equivalent experience) before being recognised and registered as a Moderator with the quality assurer.

The Moderation unit standard allows candidates to moderate assessments and assessment tools and methodologies. The course is presented over two days and entails some experiential home-based assignments.
